Newhallcommunity.org.uk is the official web site of The Old Post Centre Newhall South Derbyshire.

During November 2009 we will be updating the site and adding further information.


The web site content is updated Daily through the latest R.S.S. and XML Technology.

The Old Post Centre is a community centre that has been open since 2001 and was set up by local people to regenerate the area. We make available social activities and learning across the whole age range, from preschool to pensioners. We also provide a facility for the NHS, Social Services, CAB and many others to deliver their services to the local community. We have a community café, a computer suite, a function room and meeting rooms for hire.

User Announcements Councillor Pat Murray, the Chairman of South Derbyshire District Council, is organising a walk to raise vital funds for The Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal. The walk will be a 5km route around the Forestry Centre and is suitable for all ages and abilities. Derbyshire County Stop Smoking Service Derbyshire County Stop Smoking Service is an NHS service offering free support, information and advice to local people thinking about stopping smoking. We provide daytime, evening and weekend clinics throughout Derbyshire (excluding Derby City) run by a team of friendly and experienced advisers. The clinics last for one hour over a period of seven weeks. Products are available on prescription including nicotine replacement therapy, Zyban and Champix. Evidence shows that you are more likely to stop smoking for good with the right support.
