Burton Mail Web Site Launch

Launch of Newhall and Stanton Community Web Site

From The Burton Mail Tuesday 02/10/07 :

MEMBERS of a South Derbyshire community group are "delighted" that a new website is finally up and running for the area.

www.newhallcommunity.org.uk, which is designed to provide local, regional and national information, will encourage community involvement in the village.

The site was launched at the Old Post Centre in High Street, Newhall, with voluntary groups and organisations running stalls on the day, including the district''s 50+ Forum, the Safer South Derbyshire Partnership, South Derbyshire Council for Voluntary Services and TS Sports Club.

The site was launched by South Derbyshire district councillor for Newhall Sean Bambrick.

Website group secretary Sue Smith said: "Everyone involved is delighted.

"We hope by staging the launch, we have encouraged lots of people to help us further develop the site and that it will get plenty of people to start to use it.

"We believe the site provides a co-ordinated on-line facility to residents and organisations within the ward and to those who are interested in what is happening in the area."
