Marcus1.jpg - Mrs Audry Sowter lived in my house from 1928 and informed me that a Doctor Bradley practiced in a purpose built surgery from about the 1st War. This annex has long since been demolished, but it was known as 4 Park Street and the original 2 Park St was opposite the hair dressers on High St (Robinsons shop) featured in Tony Leech’s picture of Four lanes End. My house in on an 1883 map showing it to be close to a Smithy near Maypole Hill / High St and I wonder if his premises were the ones that the Black Smith featured in their photos? I attach picture (that I own) of Mrs Sowter’s brother in my back garden with the George Inn behind. Circa 1955.
